I’ve been rejected but I was still in love. And so I decided to start over. I didn’t see it then but it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure of everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.
Sometimes life is going to hit you in the head with a brick, don’t lose faith.
You have to find what you love!
Steve Jobs went from his garage to a 2 Billion dollar company to getting fired to starting two new companies that were a first in their industry (Next and Pixar).
In the 2nd part of his speech at Stanford
Steve speaks about doing what you love, what you find purpose in.
When your actions every day have an intrinsic impact on your deepest values;
Your motivation and drive is not built on fame or fortune.
Your foundation isn’t unstable; it remains there as long as you keep your faith.
The bricks of life won’t be able to take you off path.
They only reset your drive and passion.
