I was watching a TV show the other day,
The show was about a man of great stature.
During the show the man had saved many lives.
He taught others many lessons.
He gave his energy and time to help many people.
He was so strong he did it all on his own.
Never needing nor wanting help.
He was the strongest and the smartest.
He knew this.
As events in life progressed he started to become ill.
His abilities started dipping under par.
He was no longer as successfully helping others as before.
He kept on!
He kept helping.
It just wasn’t working anymore.
As the most exhausting challenge lay before him.
As he lay ill on his bed unable to do anything.
Others came to help him.
They slowly worked him back to strength.
In time he was back to form, and with a new realization,
He was stronger than before.
Before he saw asking for help as a sign of weakness.
As he lay there ill and saw the help from others.
He then realized the truth.
Asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness
It is a sign of Strength.
In times of need it is strength that overcomes; It is our strength that reaches out for the help of others.
