Reflection is the tool of a thinker.
I find myself often reflecting on my thoughts, actions, and accomplishments.
A year ago I began sharing each Thursday on my thoughts and leanings.
It is fitting then that I re-share a positive Thursday on reflection.
Without reflection, we go blindly on our way, creating more unintended consequences, and failing to achieve anything useful.
– Margaret J. Wheatley
What have you accomplished over the last week/months? Many of us are fixated on what we don’t see. Or what we see that others may have.
We forget that each day there is reason to reflect on what we already have or have accomplished. It is easy to forget or overlook prior hard work with the possible future obstacles already in view.
Strain and stress are powerful emotions that overcome are thoughts and put doubt on what we can do.
However you have overcome many obstacles, problems, and pressures. You just haven’t reflected on you!!!
Today take 5 minutes or a few hours and reflect on what you have done.
It may be a simple as just starting a diet or accomplishing a degree.
Accomplishments are all sizes. Be proud of those accomplishments. Be proud that you are an achiever in many ways.
I leave you with the wise words of Confucius:
By three methods we may learn wisdom:
First, by reflection, which is the noblest;
Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and
third by experience, which is the bitterest.
Share an accomplishment and how you reflected upon it?
