Positive Thursday – Conflict

Change means movement. Movement means friction.

Only in the frictionless vacuum of a nonexistent abstract world

Can movement or change occur without that abrasive friction of conflict.

– Saul Alinsky

Conflict, an action or situation that shines almost daily.

We all have two main choices with conflict; avoid or address.

I find the more common conflict action is avoidance.

Why do we avoid conflict as opposed to addressing the conflict with an open mind and the right

attitude?

Often we feel that in conflict we lose control.

The fear of the unknown gives us the deep feeling that we lose personal satisfaction

Or the action that we took won’t be understood.

In turn we won’t be understood.

However the opposite is what actually occurs.

We won’t be understood because we never shared our thoughts or feelings.

We avoided.

We also lose all control,

The fear of conflict controls our actions causing us to flee.

Don’t avoid conflict address them in the with right calm attitude

You will actually have more control then you think!!!
