Positive Thursday – Advantage

Napoleon Hill is an amazing man.  Author of some amazing books,

Think and Grow Rich and Outwitting the Devil to name a few.

He also has a copious amount of quotes that inspire millions.

One of my favorite quotes of Napoleon Hill’s is,

“Every failure comes with it the seed of an equivalent advantage”

When first reading this quote I wasn’t sure exactly what that meant for me.

My original understanding was there is an advantage when failing.

I’m not opposed to failure and found solace that there was a benefit somewhere.

Big Failure, Big Advantage

Yet I never noticed these big advantages.

I recall the big failures.

Then I read that quote again a few times in the book Think and Grow Rich.

“Every failure comes with it the seed of an equivalent advantage”

The key word in the quote and the word I overlooked is “Seed”

Failure doesn’t come with an advantage, it comes with a seed.

Just like any seed a person must water, care for, and nourish;

It order for it to grow and prosper.

When we fail we must learn from the failure

Understand and believe that there is a seed we must water and care for.

That will lead to our growth,

That leads to our advantage!
